The stacks series started in 2012 in New York when I was looking for new materials and ways of working. After making the first work completely by hand, using only a cutter, a bandsaw and a rasp, I am  now exploring the possibilities of 3 d scanning, lasercutting and cnc routing in the making of stacked sculptures. Materials include recovered cardboard, handmade cardboard from egg-cartons, hand-dyed paper, cardstock, newsprint and recycled Tatou shi -  washi paper Kimono wrappers.

All these works would not have been possible without the generous support of the   fablab and the technicians at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and at the Tokushima University.
